Daniel Johnston

Dr. Johnston was raised in nearby Boothwyn, PA and attended Chichester High School before earning his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Swarthmore College. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he received Honors in Low Vision and Pediatrics. He furthered his education and training at the Tampa VA in Tampa, FL and the Southern Vision Institute in New Orleans, LA.

Dr. Johnston provides comprehensive vision examinations with emphasis on treating ocular surface disease and complex contact lens fittings and problems. He also performs pre and post-op LASIK exams.

Dr. Johnston resides in West Chester, PA. He enjoys running in all of the nearby parks and visiting any baseball stadium when time allows.

Christina Personius

Christina Personius, OD

Dr. Personius has been an optometrist with Chester County Opticians since 2001. She works primarily at our Downingtown location. She provides comprehensive optometric exams, prescribes glasses and contact lenses, and provides pre and post-operative care for LASIK patients.

After graduating with a biology degree from Villanova University, Dr. Personius obtained her optometric degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. She was also inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society.

She is happily married and raising two beautiful daughters.

Reta Guirguis

Dr. Reta Guirguis grew up in South Florida where she received her bachelors in Biology from Nova Southeastern University. She moved up to Pennsylvania in 2010 and received her Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and has been in the Philadelphia area since.

She has training in eye diseases such as cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eyes, diabetes and more. She also fits soft and hard contact lenses of all types from basic fits to multifocal and astigmatism lenses. She also has experience in post-op and pre-op cataract and LASIK surgeries.

She enjoys very much being an optometrist and really focuses on providing the best care possible for all her patients with integrity and care as if they were a part of her family. She believes in providing very thorough eye care and values patient comfort so she believes in spending time with the patients to provide comfort and relief to the patient’s satisfaction.

On Dr. Guirguis’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering with the youth at her church.

Megan McConville

Megan McConville, OD

Dr. McConville was born and raised in Delaware County PA. After graduating from Penncrest High School, Dr. McConville received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Polytechnical Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) and then went on to complete her education with a degree as a doctor of Optometry in 2010 from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.

Dr. McConville recently joined Chester County opticians in 2015, after practicing for five years. She performs comprehensive eye exams including specialty contact lens fitting.

In her free time, Dr. McConville enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter at the beach and walking in the nearby state park.

Dr. Patel grew up in Delaware for most of her life and attended Padua Academy for high school. She was accepted into an accelerated program where she spent 3 years at Villanova University for her bachelors in biology and then 4 years at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Her clinical training involved primary eye care, contact lenses including multi focal and astigmatism lenses, and ocular disease training. Her ocular disease training took place at the Wilmington VA Hospital with special focus on glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye exams, and cataracts. She speaks Gujarati as well.

Her approach to eye care is to serve the patient to the best of her ability by incorporating education into her exams, to provide excellent clinical care, and to continue learning about her profession every day.

Dr. Patel enjoys baking, traveling, meditating, and spending time outdoors in her free time.
